Applaud, Dell & VMware "Lunch & Learn" Session Wrap Up



Applaud (in conjunction with both Dell & VMware) recently hosted an exclusive Disaster Recovery Luncheon at The Four Seasons Hotel. The luncheon was well attended by Senior Level IT representatives of local government, media, manufacturers, healthcare & more.

Joe Perricone, IT Technology Manager of Cerebral Palsy Alliance Group opened the luncheon with his own personal account of a real world disaster event and the subsequent challenges which arose from the unforseen catastrophe, successfully setting the precedent for the technical presentations which followed.
 
Aside from viewing a real life demonstration of a failover using VMware’s Site Recovery Manager, and gaining inside awareness into VSphere 5’s new features and enhancements, Darrin Edkins, Dell's Storage Channel Manager  succinctly discussed the key integration features resident in Dell EqualLogic integrated with Site Recovery Manager.

All attendees walked away armed with the latest information and know-how to shape a successful roadmap towards building a cost effective, resilient and comprehensive Disaster Recovery Solution/Strategy
